Back from a wonderful trip to Mexico…first stop DF city: the city center, Zocalo, exploring old buldings, renovated rooftops overlooking the city. A mix of old and new, at awe with the fantastic Soumaya Museum , late drinks at the “Roma” neighbourhood.
From DF we take a plane to Oaxaca , land of the Zapotecs , Mixtecs and tequila!. A city full of energy, culture and one Mexico’s best cuisine…we highly recommend taking cooking classes for those of you that one to make your own “mole”…
With also a long tradition on textiles and ceramics this is an excellent place to find unique tapestries ( we couldn’t resist…) and a visit to the Museo Textil a must, if you can take one of the weaving classes ( usuallly take a week) do it. They also have a wonderful reference library.
We take a break from all at Puerto Escondido…in a wonderful boutique hotel in “Carrizalillo” beach. Best memory from here is the day we arrived after a long trip and having a “vuelveme a la vida” cocktail…( bring me back to life). Resting at the beach and dipping into the refreshing waters of the Pacific.
Mexico, you are absolutely…lindo
