Quoting Cesar, Hortensia’s trip to Paris  was successful. Still a lot of work to do, but overall the collection had a great impact on buyers. Now back in NYC,  getting down to make all happen. By the way… it’s soooo good to be back home…

Here’s a lovely picture of our booth at Le Showroom, we made some small changes along the way, being perfectionists as we are…

High ceilings, wooden floors & natural light, this was our set up for the next five days. Thanks to our wonderful neighbours, Judith Haas,  Dunlin & Nathalie Breda we had fun, made good friends and kept the good spirit going.

 I am also very happy to announce that Hortensia Handmade will be available in Japan and the UK this coming Autumn/Winter 2009… we will keep the suspense a bit longer, at least when it starts getting cold!

Again, thanks for all your support, cheers and good wishes, we are after more success to keep us growing…

From Coco’s garden, bonjour from Paris. Here Bonbon’s giving a blogging help…

I am so tired, we walked so much but it was great. Marais, little shops, then falabel and finished with cafe & glaces at Bertillon with the best view of Notre Dame & the bridges. Tomorrow I go to Maison Rodin and then to work!

It’s great to be here, excited, nervous…. with great company.

Only three more days and we are off to Paris… we are so ready!!

We will be at Le Showroom from march 4-8th. Can’t wait to be there, it’s going to be exciting, I’ve been looking at the other designers and they are amazing. I am very proud to be showing among such talented group of people.

Set in a beautiful & intimate venue, we will be showing our new Fall/Winter  collection next to another 60 talented designers. We are thrilled to present our line for the first time in Paris at this very select salon. 

“Débuts” is the name we chose for this new collection. “Débuts” means beginnings in French.

Hortensia is returning to Paris, where all began. We have compiled our favorite pieces, feminine & sophisticated in the most vibrant colors and elaborate stitches.

I have to admit, I always remember Valentine’s day last minute. It also doesn’t help that I’ve been real busy with the new Hortensia Fall Collection. But, since LOVE is in the air…I will start preparing a surprise Valentine’s!.

Last weekend was great at the Brooklyn Pop-UP market , thousands ( really) of people came and between the great finds, awesome music and foods, I’m sure had a great time. We left tired but very happy.

 We will be back see next saturday february 21st with our sweaters & accessories. Remember it’s still going to be cold!

For now, Happy Valentine’s to you all! enjoy it with your friends, lovers and family…

With a sunny day & below cero temperatures, our first weekend at the Pop Up Market in Dumbo started.

A lovely spot, a good cup of coffee & some pastries we were ready to go!. Hats & scarves came and go, compliments that we always love and questions from our kind visitors kept us busy all day long.  

I haven’t been in Dumbo in a while. I remember how desolated & silent it was just a couple of years ago. Now it’s full of life, stores, restaurants, art galleries… I love the park, the view is breathtaking.

I am now looking forward to next weekend. Come by as there will me more wonderful vendors; a mix of vintage clothes, furniture, jewelry along with great food and music. And this weekend it won’t be that cold!
